I have tried to figure the best way to award you guys the spot as a bikini contest judge and none of them work very good, so here is the plan. There are 10 of you and each will vote for a driver that they want to represent the ECHC at the contest. The driver with the most votes will be the one. I am also looking for a judge for the burnout contest right after Bikini. The other judges are the bikini winner and a Grand Am racer named Chad Block.
How's that sound to everyone?

 

Only issue with that is that I think everyone will vote for themselves.

I thought about that, but I figure you are all friends and none of you have that big of egos do you? If we have a 10 way tie then me and Cobetto will pick the winner.
Also so you guys know what a hit you are, 50% of all my email and phone calls over the last few weeks have been about the ECHC drivers.

 

I have a fanclub coming up to go for rides around the course in my car.

 

What are they asking about us? You should have been at the race Mike - EVERYBODY there was at the fence to watch our race, and they were cheering their heads off. It was amazing!!!

I wanted to be there, but Spring Carlisle was this past weekend and there is no way I could get out of it.

As for the questions I have been getting it is stuff like.
Will drivers take pictures with spectators?
Can I get a ride in a (Insert favorite Honda/Acura here)?
Will these drivers give us real rides or just parade laps?
Will there be ECHC stuff like T-shirts and hats for sale?
Will that cutie Matt Bookler be there? (I am kidding about this one)

I've got 20 or so shirts left, all long sleeve. Dunno if I can turn around an order for more in time...plus, I kind of need to sell these so I can have some $ to buy more.

I'm trying to help you guys. If Matts head gets to big it won't fit in that helmet anymore which means he won't be on track causing trouble.

On a seperate note. There is a new magazine for the import guys coming out called Underground Imports and they are coming in to the show and want a story about HC, I will do introductions at some point on Friday.

It's not going to help you when your rear brakes keep locking up

 

Not a problem anymore. Once I got the car on the track in hot weather they were fine. I spent a good part of this past weekend cranking the proportioning valves back to increase rear braking. Add to that the extra bite of the new Carbotech 1108 compound on the fronts, and I should be golden.

Can we get some info on the logistics of this? Were we able to change the hotel reservations to Thursday night instead of Friday night? Where are we staying? I might stay up there for Saturday on my own dollar to help promote the series, but I need to know the hotel info so I can extend the reservation before they give the room to somebody else. Thanks.
