Questions for those who have Koni Yellows
I have the Eibach ProKits on my car now w/ AGX's and I would like to have a little lower ride than right now but don't want to spend more money for new springs so I was wondering how much lower can I get my car if I get the Koni Yellows and put it at the "lowest perch"?
What exactly is the lowest perch and how much of a difference would it be?

I just put the pro/kit and koni (yellows) on my 94' gsr. I cant give you an exact measurement but the lowest perch setting is about an inch or so lower than the factory set normal level on the shox.
Also unless your AGX's are shot its probably cheaper to buy new springs. i.e Eibach Sportlines and sell your current springs. Just from the fact my koni's where 550 shipped and the sportline kit is like 200..
just my $.02

My AGX's aren't shot, I just want a little lower and stiffer ride. I figured it would be cheaper to get the Yellows instead of buying them plus lower springs plus a camber kit plus the cost of installation.

Well your camber is going to be thrown off no matter what if you go lower, even if you have the same springs. If you get the regular Koni yellows you have the choice of stock or 25mm lower on the front shocks; or stock, 15mm lower or 15mm higher on the rear shocks. If you get the Neuspeed Konis, you also get a 20mm shortened shock casing for a bit more suspension travel, and also extra spring perch slots in between the normal ones, so you don't have to go the full 25mm lower in front, you can just go a little lower if you want to.
i have the neuspeed koni yellows and have sportlines one spring perch down from the stock setting (about 1/4" lower). they are really nice....although i need to take my fronts off and cut soem more off of my bumpstop becasue i left it too long the first time....the konis are awesome as i would recommend them even for just an upgrade to the shocks and not just for the extra lowering capabilities. good luck.

PatrickGSR94,
So how does that exactly work. I thought your springs determined your height, but if you can lower your car with shocks then wouldn't that mean your shocks are actually comperssing the springs a little all the time whcih would be bad...right?
If I got the shcoks and lowered it 25mm and 15mm would that throw my camber off so much that I need a camber kit? You don't have one do you?

when you use a lower spring perch on th koni's you are actually compressing the shock piston a little further. the spring will still only compress as far as the load that the car puts on it will allow. basically, if you put your car 1/4" lower by using a lower spring perch like i did then you have 1/4" less shock travel due to the initial compression. the spring will still be te same compressed length when loaded with the cars weight. luckily i have the neuspeed konis and there is a 20mm shorter shock body like someone else mentioned. this gives you an extra 20mm of shock travel to make up for any extra lowering beyond stock. so with my car lowered 2" even with sportlines and the 1/4" lower perch setting, my shock is only "seeing" approximately 1.25" of lowering (20mm = approx. 3/4"). this helps out alot with not bottoming out the shock or putting extra wear and tear on it. now all i have to do is cut my bumpstops a bit more because in tight turns i can feel the car riding on them....im not a big fan of infinite spring rates
good luck with your suspension set-up.....i hope i helped to clear things up for you and didnt confuse you more.....

You're doing the same thing that an adjustable height coilover does: move the perch up or down. I have my front perches on stock height, and the rear perches on the lowest height, for an even drop all around. I would estimate my drop to be a bit less than 2" all around, maybe 1.8 or so. I do not have a camber kit but I got my toe-in settings corrected, and tires are still looking very good after driving on it for 5K miles.
If I put the front perches on the low setting my front tires would tuck way up in the fender and I would have at least 3 deg. negative camber.
Here's how my front and rear tires look w/ my current setup:

PatrickGSR94,
What is your finger gap for fron and rear. I ahve the Pro-Kits and they look like they are at the same drop. Did you meausre your drop after you lowered it? Unfortunately I didn't so I dont know exactly how low mine is except the fact that Eibach says 1.3.

What he said. With my old setup (prokits + koni shocks on lowest perch front/rear), I had about -3 degrees of camber in the front and -1.4 degrees in the rear. An ingalls kit for the front was all I needed to bring it back into spec.

I just estimate that it't just a bit less than a 2" drop all around. Actually the rear is probably dropped a full 2" because the back end of my car sat higher before installing, and now it's even all around. I can just fit 1 finger between the tire and fender lip on all 4 corners.
