Default Apexi Power FC

Does anyone here know anything about the Apexi power FC? its a computer but supposedly works a lot better and get more gains than the V-AFC...
Is this true?

Works better ? yes.. More gains? Depends on the tuner.

The problem with the power FC is Apexi's marketing of it. There's only a few tuners who can tune it, you need the software to fully tune the car (the handheld is limited in functionality) and it's only available to liscensed tuners who usually password protect your map to prevent you from changing it.

For a Honda, a Hondata or one of the new AEM systems is a better choice IMHO.

Get the ECU your tuner is most experienced with... It`s not the ecu that makes the difference, it`s the tuner.

I've always considered standalones a part for the DIY'er. They're really only for heavily modified cars that need constant adjustments due to the owner always changing things.

i have one if you guys are interested....

immaculate condition
plugs right up to obd2 version 1 harnesses

basically 96-98 cars...

99+ will need converters...

saw one on the classifieds board for $100

Ed...that's for the harness adapter, not the FC and commander...
