hey guys so i have a base auto and i usually drive in sportshift mode but today i was driving in D so i made a turn and put some gas into it and totally forgot i was in D so i thought i was shifting up but actually i was going from D to neutral and rpms just shot up to the max redline etc.. will there actually be any damage to the transmission/engine?

What he said, there is no load in neutral. You're ok, just being noisey

 

SHOULD BE FINE THEY HAVE A REV LIMITER IN UPSHIFTING.
