crazy idle + broken vacuum hose on box under intake manifold?
here's the deal. after putting the h22 back in my lude it idled crazy (loped between 1000-2000 rpms). so i searched on here and ended up tightening the plunger screw on the fitv and cleaning it, and also cleaned the iacv. also unplugged the iacv and idled then loped from 1000-1200 rpms but more quickly.
so i then plugged the iacv sensor back in, bled the coolant numerous times, and reset the ecu. started the car up and it ran fine, idled at 1100 rpms.
as soon as the motor got warm enough, idle loped again (1000-2000 rpms). so i looked for vacuum leaks again and heard one coming from the little black box under the intake manifold (iab box). one of the vacuum hoses going looping from the iab sensor to the box had came off cause the nipple on the box snapped.
would this cause this crazy idle? any ideas guys?
(nipple for hose #25 in the pic broke off)

Any of the vacum lines leaking will cause an irregular idle. Plug the nipple on the back of the manifold if you want a temporary fix.
well, i fixed that problem. (melted the nipple back on). now i get code 12 and code 14. which is egr and iacv i think if my memory serves me correctly.
i noticed that the top plastic piece is kind of broken loose on the egr valve. is this the cause of the egr code? i have my egr blocked so i didn't think it would matter.
i've already cleaned the iacv. the only other thing i can think of is to replace it.

ok..here's what i've done and where i'm at: cleaned the egr and i no longer have that code anymore.
car still only has revving idle at warm up. i bled my coolant, checked the tb nuts, cleaned the iacv screen and even tried to block the whole iacv all together with an aluminum plate, and cleaned the fitv and screwed in the plastic nut all the way.
i then did some troubleshooting from a guide i found somewhere on h-t. i took off the intake and covered the bottom hole in the tb (the one for the fitv) ahnd it was sucking in when warm (i heard it's not supposed to). when i cover the hole, nothing happens to the idle. i then covered both holes and nothing changed. this leads me to believe that it's a vacuum leak.
i then tested the iacv by applying voltage to it with the battery and it clicked like it was supposed too.
i checked the vacuum hoses for cracks and also removed a bunch of them to see if the idle changed. on all of them, the idle changed so that leads me to believe that the hoses are fine. one of the hoses made the idle rev even higher (which seems like it could be a problem) but i didn't see or feel any cracks in it.
what else do i do? the tb gasket is 3 days old so i know it's not that. maybe the IM gasket? how in the hell do check that?

Some things to double check:
- Make sure the TPS & IACV aren't swapped
- Make sure the throttle cable is not too tight.
If you're still getting the looping idle and/or high idle, spray carb cleaner around the throttle body gasket & IM mani gasket. If it's looping so you can't tell if the idle is changing, unplug the IACV, and it should drop to a steady RPM so you will be able to get a better idea of when the idle is changing.
When you spray carb cleaner in a certain area and the idle changes, that means it's leaking in that area.
Hope you fix it... idle problems are a PITA.
