Default Good driving school in NorCal?

I want to take some driving classes to improve my Auto-X times and become a overall faster driver on the track. What are some good classes to take up in the NorCal area? And how much are they typically? Thanks in advance.

IMHO you are asking for 2 different types of schools. For autocross you should've gone to the SFR SCCA's autocross school. The NASA AutoX school has also passed.

For track the post above hit it all correctly.

The Skip Barber and Bill Russell schools cost more $$$. The NASA schools are are a part of the race weekends. Bring your car, helmet and open mind. They'll supply the instructors and instruction.

if your focus is autox, take the autox school. Evolution (formerlly McKamey) only comes ones in a while. But SCCA SFR started doing school, and NASA Autox also has school too. autox school are around 175-225 i think? similar to a day of track lapping.

I'll tell you a big secret... "look ahead".

road racing sessions won't teach you autox specific skills but they will still be very helpful. things like like slow in, fast out. steady state vs. transient... and any seat time you get always = good.

Being in NorCal there is an autocros event just about every weekend it seems. It would be very easy to get a lot of seat time and just ask some of the better drivers to ride with you and give you pointers.
