Default question about soldering iron

i just bought a weller soldering station with temperature control. I've only ever used my cheap 25 watt soldering iron for the 20 ecus i've chipped.
What temperature do i set the soldering iron to when chipping an ecu?
Mine goes from 350-850 degrees.
Thanks in advance.

I usually just grab the **** and crank it to the right. But I like my soldering iron nice and hot.

Default Re: question about soldering iron (zman)

I generally run at 800 so I can work quickly, but at that temperature it is easy to kill semiconductors.
