Check Engine After Storm
There was a terrible storm in my city last night and my car stalled out on me and it was about an hour before the wires dried out enough for me to start it. I might have over done the starter a bit when trying to get it started but i finally got it to go. Immediatly there after the CEL flashed until I got home. This morning the CEL is now just constantly on. Here is my question (and did a forum search before I asked this)
Can you reset the light and should I or should I just have it checked out? I'm sure it was the stalling out due to the water but I figure if I can reset it and it comes back on then I'll know for sure something else is wrong. I must say that my car still runs silky smooth and I have no reason to believe something else is wrong.

Like you said, I'd reset it & see whether it comes back. Good chance some sensor just got flaky with water in the wiring.
