Hey my engine is throwing a code for a bad IAT censor?? intake air temp. i beilieve is what is stands for, is this common?? should i drive the car at all, the censor itself is 60 bucks and they have to order it...but this is my first time hearing "IAT" censor..is it a map censor??? any help would be sweeet....thanks.

 

its a sensor inserted in the intake arm or intake manifold (depending on the car)

clean the connector with brake cleaner and then slab some dielectric grease on it
reset the ecu
go from there
