Default 1.7 liter swap

My friend just picked up a 1990 ED. it currently doesn't run. He also has a 2002 civic ex with a perfectly good 1.7 liter vtec engine in it. (the car it self is totalled) how hard is this swap? I don't know what mounts are available and how much custom fabrication is needed?

Sorry if this has been discussed before. if it has can someone point me in the right direction.

I think an equally important, if not better, question might be, "How much money do I want to spend?"

So i'd like to make it as inexpensive as possible.

I just wasn't sure if anyone has done this before, and knew exactly what was needed. Or who makes mounts for this. (which I doubt anyone does) the wiring is a whole different story!

I hear ya I don't know if you would need mounts or no just gonna have to try it and see...if you can weld or know someone who can you can fab up the mountsaxles and what not...wireing shouldn't be to bad...lots of fab work if it isn't a simple bolt in, may be cheaper to just do a B swap if thats the case...I hit up the junk yards a lot and can get a D15 anyday or an LS every now and then so, let me know....Sell the D17 and use the money for a swap
