My R was shaking VIOLENTLY, what could it be??
I was riding down the highyway looking for a restaurant my friend works at and then the exit came out on no where. So I downshift REALLY fast while braking and made the exit. I was going about 80 and I broke to about 30 while taking the turn. When I was looking for a spot I noticed It felt like teeth hitting the shifting as I put it into third. I parked in a space put in in neutral and put the brake on. I car than began to shake violently. I stepped on the clutch and it shook more. I turned the car off and called acura roadside. They towed the car on friday stored it at a tow yard until monday and then brought it to the dealership. Yesterday the dealership calls me and says nothings wrong. They said they had someone drive the car around for 20 min and nothing was wrong. So I took my baby back and went home and its not doing the shaking right now. What could have caused this??
My current mods:
ATS final drive
Exedy organic Clutch
Toda 9lb flywheel
Mugen Header
Mugen twin loop exhaust
carsound cat
comptech icebox w/filter
can you guys help?

Does it happen when you brake? If so, it sounds like warped rotors due to excessive heat....

How are your motor mounts?
Loose spark plug wire would be the first thing I'd check. It'll shake pretty bad if it's firing on three cylinders.

Try idling it for 10 minutes in that SHAKE Mode..
if the CEL comes on, check it out.
Happened to Me Before. BAD GAS.
I Avoided that Gas Station and that thing never happen again.

fouled spark plug, maybe? running it could have burnt off what ever was fouling it. pull the plugs and inspect the color of the electrodes.
it happened again, but this time I made it happen and I have an Idea what it is.
This is what I did. In neutral I reved the car to about 4k and let off the gas. As the RPM's dropped FAST (due to lightened flywheel) they fell close to 1 rpm, this made the car shake like crazy until I gave to alittle gas, then it subsided. I reved the car again to about 4k but this time I held it there to see and hear what would happen. As I was holding it there it sounded like the engine was not very smooth, it kinda sounded like it was pulsating slightly and went I let off the gas quickly the shaking happened again but only slightly, not as violently as last time. Could this be a warped or impoperly installed flywheel (it is toda)?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

ah, the light flywheel! so when the RPMs dropped it probably fell below the normal idle speed causing the engine to sputter and shake.
