Default my seafoam experience

i just seafoamed my car several minutes ago. it has the heart of a jdm 98 itr. we all know they usually come with "only" 30,000km but theres really no way in telling unless the engine came from a whole clip with the cluster.

anyways, i only put 1/3 the can through the brake booster and ill put the rest in the gas. it took several minutes to put it through the bb while being careful not to stall. my leg was getting cramped doing it.

anyways, i idle around 800-810, never going below 800. pulling the bb, the idle jumped to 1500. after connecting back the bb, idle didnt change and stayed 800-810.

i waited 15 min and turned the car back on. it didnt smoke while i was sucking in the seafoam. it only smoked around 10-15 sec after turning the car back on. as i started to pull away in 1st, i could feel the difference already. less hesitation like it did before. i guess the former jap owner took care of the engine because there was barely any smoke coming out.

ripping through the gears, it felt so much smoother and rev happy and it feels that idle is a bit smoother.

seafoam

You should probably change your plugs because the liquid carbon usually fowls them up. I have also heard of other people having problems with their O2 sensor after seafoaming. One guys solution was to take the sensor out & dip the tip in liquid seafoam to clean it off. That may also work with your plugs if they are expensive ones.

I can say that I seafoamed my 89 CRX, and about a year & a half later my O2 sensor took a crap. At least it was a $25 1-wire unit. I read about the dip idea after I already replaced the sensor. May be something to look into if you start getting poor gas mileage though since 4-wire sensors are much more expensive...
