H23 Vtec Swap?
Hey
I wanted to know if i buy a complete H23 Vtec motor with tranny, ecu, wire harness and all neccessary hardware, will i have to convert the obd-1 to obd-2 or vice versa. Will this be a problem or will it be easy to convert?

just get a longblock then, use your tranny, distributor and get some OBD1 H22 injectors and P13 ecu. Make sure you check the a/f ratio after the swap, I'm not sure if the P13 will run lean at WOT running the H23A or not.

running lean, means not enough fuel which can be very detrimental to the engine...
and WOT means Wide Open Throttle...
it is usually less harmful to run rich, too much fuel, than lean, too little fuel.

Also a note. The blue top H23A has an OBD1 type oil pump... so there are no sensors on the crank pulley side like you would find on a H22A4. You need to use an OBD1 distributor with the engine.
