yea so the heat doesnt work in my 90 hatch.
the actuators for the coolant into the heatercore work fine
the fan blower works fine
the valve to the heatercore opens and closes
no coolant leaks, in the engine or around the heatercore
im stumped. winter will be here in a few months and it sucks driving to work with no heat for 45 min

under the dash or like right behind the turn ****. i did a dash swap and had the whole thing out. it seemed that it was doing ok, like when i turn the dial to hot it opens the valve in the engine bay by the firewall

under the dash in the middle of the car there a plastic thing u can turn it to shut off the heat. it control how much hot air pasts throw the vents for climate control it close to the floor right behind the cig lighter but back towards the firewall.

yup. crawl into the passenger floor and stick your head underneath the heater core. reach up and turn the ****. youll see a white lever and two cables. they should move together. its likely they are not if youre not getting hot air and you checked everything else.
make sure the damper in the heater core is working. also make sure the piping to and from the heater core isn't clogged.

Best way is to just get under there and look. The **** has been stripped on my CRX for 2 years, and I can adjust the heat from the driver's seat. It feels like a little metal arm, that's the best way I can describe it, and it's on the passenger side.
glad i found this thread, i just fixed mine, but under the dash is there suppose to be a clip on the wire going to those white arms? my cable keeps wanting to slide off. please if anyone knows, please tell me

Here is a better pic for you:

The only thing that holds the cable is the metal clip it
pops into..
If the cable end is popping off,the cable may be weak or
there could too much resistance..
I have seen foreign objects like pens/pencils limit the movement of the duct
and have also seen ducts glued into place by spilled cokes/coffee..
