Injen CAI and Greddy evo2 installed
got em in yesterday morning and put the exhaust on yesterday and didnt feel like puttin the CAI on. i was pretty disappointed with the exhaust sound level... or lack thereof. it is extremely quite and i cant really feel much of a difference. a header or straight pipe is a must with that i suppose. but the injen CAI kicks f*ckin ***! talk about sounding mean when u get on it. install wasnt too bad. throw the directions away after browsing them (not literally if u dont know what u are doing). once u take out the stock air system there is so much room! it looks like u forgot to put something in. u only have to cut a very small piece of the drivers side fender splash guard to squeeze the pipe through. i cut mine much smaller than recommended so it almost forms an airtight seal over it. tricky part was getting the piping to fit in there properly. my buddy who helped is great at all things mechanic and found the way. the intake sits right behind the drivers side fog light housing/cover. so we are going to make a clip for it since i dont have fogs so when we go to the track we can pop it off and suck air straight in with no obstructions. but yea, intake is a definite plus on the new si! exhaust is good, but wait for a good header to come out if u havent paid for ur exhaust yet. im trying to get my computer to load a few seconds of video so i can let u hear the sound when vtec kicks in and owns j00!
Nice setup dude so from what people are saying you cant install the AEM or Injen cai without cutting a hole in the flap in wheel well thats sucks i hope they fix that. I think i will keep my SI stock for a while just put sound in at first but if you post a video of a sound clip i might change my mind lol.
can u install a sub/amp to the factory radio? im trying to get the computer to load up the video. u can barely tell whats going on once vtec kicks in... it just sounds like a demon growling in ur ear :D
sub... not to the radio but you can hook it up by using hi-lo converter and hook it up to the oem sub and then you can control it from the radio (same way you would with the oem sub)
