Please help! New to the board...
Ok, so...
Vehicle: 1992 Honda Accord 4dr LX model
Engine: 2.2L 4 cylinder
Transmission: 5 speed manual
Everything has approximately 224,000 miles on it, including the original engine.
Problem: (Kinda complex, I'll try to explain as simply as I can) So, when the car is running, it runs and drives great. No problems, temp stays normal, everythings cool. After about 30 min or so of running/driving, the car starts to cut out. Let's say you're doing a steady 50 mph, all of the sudden, the rpm's just start to bounce off of 0, and if you press the gas it bogs hard, then dies.
After this, it'll restart, but won't run for very long. A mile or two at the most. It seems like the longer you let the car sit not running, the longer it'll run when you start it next. So after a breakdown, if you let it sit for 30 min, it'll run for 5min, etc. Which explains why it runs fine after sitting all night.
Now, before anyone suggests the simple stuff, i've already done a tune-up. I replaced the sparkplugs, pcv valve, oil, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter.
My first guess would have to be the fuel pump, but I'm certainly no mechanic.
I was told on another board that it is probably an electrical problem? I have no clue.
Anybody ever had a similiar problem, or even the exact same problem? Pretty common car, so i figured I would ask.
Thanks for any help, and sorry for the long post.

Ummm... I guess so. It only does it after driving for some time, so I think it's at normal operating temp when it happens. I freaked out a bit when it happened, so I didn't really pay any attention to the temp guage. But it doesn't leak any coolant, and hasn't ever overheated, or even gotten abnormally warm. But yeah, it doesn't do it when it's cold.
By the way, other board says distributor, possibly cap and rotor? Just some extra food for thought. I am kinda hoping it's not the fuel pump now that I think of it, because that's gonna mean dropping the tank. Unfortunately I just filled up. Stupid me....
ignition module? Since the failure after the car has been running for a while indicates failure due to heat.........

Your fuel pump is failing. I had this happen relentlessly with a 1995 Mustang GT I had. Sucker would always strand me. Same exact MO too. Car would drive fine for a while them just cut out. Leave it sit for 5 or 10 minutes and it started fine but would cut out again after a few miles if that. I'd replace that thing about every year or so. Thats not a cheap part unfortunately.
