Too big. Get 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.

There are two great deals in these sizes going on right now. One is on the Dunlop Direzza DZ101. This tire is similar to the Yokohama ES100 - very good dry traction, excellent wet traction, and lasts a reasonably long time (figure 25-40K miles). The Tire Rack sells them for $48 each in 205/50-15, and Dunlop has a $50 rebate on a set of four, expiring this Saturday. So you can get a set of four for $142 plus shipping, which is an absolutely awesome deal.

Also, Kumho right now has a $40 rebate on their Kumho Ecsta SPT tire, which is even a bit better than the ES100, and priced less also. The rebate lowers the price to $52 per tire in 195/55-15, and $49 per tire in 205/50-15. So that's also a very good deal.

Neither of these tires is recommended for use on snow or in frigid cold. (If you have to use the same tires in winter conditions as the rest of the year, I suggest the Kumho Ecsta ASX, which is as good an all-season as you can find, at an attractive price, and also has the rebate available.)

For lots more recommendations for summer tires for your car, check out this post, which was written for the ITR but also applies to any '97-00 Civic with 15" wheels.

For my SIs, 195/50/15 tires fit a lot better then the 205/50/15 I had before them.

In 205/50-15, the S-03 is still available (at least, it's in stock at the Tire Rack), and is an outstanding street tire. The Bridgestone Potenza RE750 is a very good "budget performance tire", similar to (slightly better than) the Yokohama ES100, Kumho Ecsta SPT, Dunlop DZ101, etc. Both the S-03 and RE750 are expensive for those of us who don't work at Firestone, but they're very good summer tires.

I don't know if it's still available, but the Bridgestone Potenza RE010 in 195/55-15 is the OEM tire for the Integra Type R, and offers exceptionally precise handling. That's the only summer tire available in 195/55-15.

The RE050A, which is the replacement for the S-03 in the Bridgestone line, isn't available in 15" sizes. Two other summer tires available in 205/50-15 are designed for specific ends of specific cars (the RE040 for the rear of the Toyota MR-2 and the RE010 for the front of the Acura NSX) and I don't recommend them for that reason.

The proper size tire depends on the car, not just on the rim. 195/50-15 is the best matching 15" size for del sols, CRXs, and pre-96 Civics. 195/55-15 and 205/50-15 are the best matching 15" sizes for Integras and '97-00 Civics.
