Default Good deal?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...ist=2

My sister is looking at this car, it's a 99 Honda Accord Coupe (ex) for $4500. Something in my gut tells me there is something wrong with the car.

KBB says it's worth $10,570 (http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.u...;;ucr;&8;HO;AC)

My mother and sister said they ran a Carfax on it and it showed up clean. So is this just an excellent deal... or is my gut feeling right?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Well I will tell you that there are tranny issues with the V6 Accords, especially that body style. As far as the price the KBB trade in really isn't too much better than the selling price so it doesn't seem too too low.

If its local then take it for a test drive....car fax coming up clean is great! But yeah if its local then take it for a test drive....and look around for rust, or a non straight body, check under the hood, make sure that the engine is in good condition, and when u take it for the test drive u or who ever is driving floor it till about 80, and just feel for any hard shifts, or bad noises that arnt normal lol....other then that its a steal!

just because the car fax is clean doesn't mean it hasn't been wrecked, just fyi.

like they said, make sure the tranny is good.

ad says minor body work needed. coming from a dealer that usually means it needs a lot of work.

and yes, that is too cheap for the car if its in good condition. so I'm sure you'll find the reason its so cheap when you go look at it.
