Default 92 prelude type s compression

hey guys the title basically says it all......I ran a compression check on my cylinders and the numbers are as follows.....135...132...135...135 are these pretty much in spec. I just got a turbo manifold, already have a t3/t4 turbo and need to get the rest of the stuff but it will be a few months before i am near ready to even think about putting it together. I know the rule of if they are in spec within 10% of each other than "your engine good". Also would the p13 be good for hondata s200 maybe s300 if I can dish out that much mulla.......And also will it be good for the non-vtec? Thanks for all help

I think you mean a 92 prelude S model(base 4th gen, BA8 chassis)
F22a1 sohc non-vtec
Compression psi should be 155ish-180psi. Before i replaced my f22a1 with my H22 i tested it and got 178-181-179-180 with 137,4xx miles.

I would do a leakdown test and see where your loosing cylinder pressure before boosting.

Yes boosting the non-vtec is good, me like torque. I wouldnt even drive it without being tuned though.

I only let it spin 1 maybe 2 strokes will that matter. Also how do you perform a leak down test?

Usually you want to turn the motor over 5 times for each cylinder on a compression test....that should get you higher numbers.

You should be pretty happy if you boost your F22 the right way (no ebay kits, FMUs, hacks, etc).

i boosted my f22a1 and i love it. i checked my compression before decided to go turbo and my number were all right around 175 (+2/-2). i decided to go with a cheaper route and got a p75 chipped and used uberdata, but if you want to use hondata that is up do you. good luck with the project!

ya turn motor 5 times make sure u hit TDC compression stroke, should be arround 180, acrossed the board.. also do a leakdown test, thats a fun *** motor to boost too, buy a m2b4 while ur at it or a quafe lsd
