Default compare cbr 1000, 929 954 etc.

hey all. im new to the forum. i currently have a yamaha r6 but am looking into getting a bigger honda. cuz as we all know honda's are the best.

i was just hoping so of you could help me compare the bigger honda bikes (i.e. the title) such as power, weight, and cylinders. i know a lil about the cbr 1000 but next to nothing about the rest of the almost liter bikes

plese help

they are basically a progression in performance and focus... 929 then the 954 then the 1k, as Honda came forward the bike got more narrowly focused and quicker all around.


ALL three bike are wonderful machines, just from different times

Can I ask what your riding experience is?

If you've never ridden the 1kRR, then you'll be happy with a 954. And if you've never ridden the 954, you'll be happy with a 929.

All three bikes have four cylinders in a line. That hasn't changed. The weights have come down a little bit each time (but they're still porkers compared to other liter i4s). The 929 and 954 are rated as having the same horsepower, but only because the 954 was measured using a different kind of dyno (way to go Honda o_0 ).
