I am currently in the market for an EP3 and am doing some research.

I tried searching but there was no FAQ type stuff that I could find. My question to you EP3 owner/knowledegble people is as follows.

Is the EP3 really as easy to maintain as it looks. I checked out the schedule on edmonds.com and it is basically just fluid and filters until 110k. I will be doing the work myself so in theory this looks like a very inexpensive car to own.

Also if there are any common problem or things I should look for while inspecting them I would apprieciate a heads up.

very easy to maintain.. most comon thing is crunchy 2nd gear over time and power door aculator (sp) dies out often (honda always does)

 

I will watch for that during the test drives... and my accord had the acuator problem as well so I'm used to that. Thanks for the response.

Any other advice?

 

oil changes, air filter cleaning (i have a k&n), and cabin filter changes.

thats about it. typical low maintenance honda. i drive ~100mi/ day with no problems!
