Something VERY weird just happened! (Ostrich unplugged)
So about a year ago when I was street tuning my car everyday, I learned something important; if I forgot to plug in my ostrich, my car wouldn't run. The pump wouldn't prime, the engine wouldn't turn over, etc. Nothing would happen.
Makes sense, right? Well tonight I go to the gym and realize when I get there that my window blew a fuse or something and it wouldn't go up. It was stuck in the full down position. Not wanting my car to get jacked while I worked out, I decided to take the Ostrich with me.
Fast forward to an hour later. I leave the gym, get in my car, and start to drive home. About 1 minute into the drive, I glance at my PLX and realize that my AFR was at 10.5:1 at 15 inches of vac! I immediately pull over and go into neutral to figure out WTF was going on. My idle was kind of funky, but nothing extrememly noticeable - it was wavering around 1k RPMs.
Then I realize "Oh ****, my Ostrich is in my pocket!" So I turn the car off, plug the Ostrich back in, and bam, everything's back to normal.
Now my question is, what the hell was my car running on?! Before, it wouldn't even turn over without the Ostrich.

No, it couldn't have been the stock maps. I have a switch hooked up to J1. When I flip that, then it runs on the stock maps. And it sure as heck doesn't run at 10:1 on the stock maps.
When I flip the switch and run in P28 mode it runs way lean (16.5:1) because of the headwork, cam, intake manifold, etc.
