No Manual aka Standards???
Is Honda going to ramp up production on this car later in the year?
Out of the 5 closest Honda Dealers only 1 has Fits in stock and all 3 of the ones they have in Stock are Automatics. Another Dealer not too much farther away has a Silver Sport in stock but it's Automatic too WTF
? The only dealer I found with a standard was in Houston TX (about 6+hrs away) and it was Black. I want a Blue NOT sport and Standard tranny. I'll put my own rims on.
Didn't people used to want Standards in Economy cars? I'd like to consolidate my 2 current Vehicles into 1 new/er very fuel efficient car, but there's no way I'm going to drop $15K on a friggin Automatic, the last Honda I had (01 Accord LX 4cyl) was an Auto and I HATED it, not to mention the fact that around 100K the tranny started acting up.

Well, it took me a bit, but it was a 3 day effort to find me a MT Fit Sport. I wanted the blue, but settled for the Silver instead. It took 8 calls to dealerships, and a trip from Bakersfield (where I live) to Santa Anna Honda to get what I wanted. The Fit MT in Cali is a hard find, and you are going to have to work to find one, or wait until next year when they release more.
From what I was told, being as this is the first year for the Fit here, there was a limited run. And most dealerships don't get a large allocation of them for two reasons, 1: They are new, and nobody knows for sure how well they are going to sell, 2: Honda did a limited production (what I was told by two dealerships).
Anyway, you will have to put some effort in to find one. They are hard to find, but they are out there.
Also, Santa Anna didn't have a MT Sport in stock, they had to get my car from a dealership in Huntington Beach.

I don't know what you consider "limite", but in the first 3 months over 10,000 of them sold. That's not limited if you ask me.
Honda set the specific amount of Fits they were going to sell here in the U.S. Apparently there was a high demand for them, but since the vehicle has already been, and continues to be, sold in other countries as well, they would not take away from those markets to bring more to the U.S.

Well, I was told from two dealerships that they were limited.... Hell, even the Civic Si 07 was very limited. I don't have Honda on speed dial, nor am I an insider, I just go by what I am told, and I was told from two different dealerships that first year runs are always limited.
Also, which state sold 10,000 units?

It wasn't a particular state; that was nationwide. But in 3 months time, I'd say that's pretty rapid sales. at least in my book...
