Default zc swap into 89 hatch question

I just bought a 89hatch si and it came with a dohc zc engine. I was woundering if the mounts on the zc will work? Also what wiring mods will i have to do.

i dunno about the mounts. but i know u can use the mounts from the d that was in it. and u have to add one wire for the dizzy

As for the mounts, it will drop right in. You will need to cut away some of the hood or remove the upper timing cover or it will rub.
Wiring is also straighforward, just the little mod to the dizzy and you are golden. You're going to want a new ECU too if you don't have one.

blacktop dohc zc's bolt right in

For that wiring check this out http://www.geocities.com/civiczc/zcwire.html or if you're not good with wiring you can get an adapter for like $30 online

i dont know bout.....direct drop in...cuz on the mounts...i had to re use my stock one for the left side....i got my dizzy jumpers from re wire...and im still using my stock si ecu...but its slow as hell tho..Another thing...I still have to upgrade my fuel injectors to an obd0 LS...so yea.....good luck on yours

Being able to reuse stock mounts means direct drop in...What do you mean upgrade to obdo ls injectors.?? There is no upgrade its the same 240cc as the si's you have there now,,just get the right ecu or chip that si ecu you have

ohh...yea i thought bout that too about my injectors, but other people have other thoughts too.....but..i have a chipped out obd0 LS ecu also...and i can smell that im burnin too rich....i dont know...for a dohc zc...my a6 felt faster....at the torque end and on the high end...so i dont know bout this zc...

Well yeah its not the fastest thing in the world..but it would help if you got the correct ecu to get it running right...

What do you mean other people have thoughts about the injectors?? They're the same 240cc injectors,no upgrade

yea...most people i've talked to said that too....jus that i was talkin to some guy the other day, and he said its probly better if i try to run the ls injectors but oh well ....so i guess im not doin that anymore..and yea i'll see about gettin a hold of a zc ecu....but this motor is jus daily drivin anyway..jus my pit stop till a gsr comes along...for the right price....
