</TD></TR></TABLE>I know, but you are still removing VIN's...trust me it's illegal...The best way to do such thing is to have receipt of the place you got it from, then go to a REF or CHP officer and they will make you a new VIN, that is blue in color...This means it's a replacement that was legally bought...That way no one thinks you have stolen parts when you get rolled. Because the code on the doors of the car states what color interior you should have...
i have no vin on my new black dash, so im going to use my old 1. and i see people do it all the time. and i doubt is illegal? have you know anybody done it before and got in trouble?

but im just saying, have you know anybody done it before? i see so many done it and no 1 really say anything about being illegal.
Just because you see people switching dashes doesn't mean that its legal. Swapping the dash is legal, but tampering with VINs is illegal. Do what the other guy said about getting a new blue one. Its pretty much the only option.

Well it is, it's the same as swaping VIN's from one engine, to another...

I just told on one of the top post, If you would've been listening you wouldn't be asking me this right now, but thanking me! Go see your local CHP office, and show them your receipt...They will get you a replacement, that they themselfs have to put on...not you!

Trust me bro, if a cop rolls you...And he is out to get you for something, they will search...And the min. they find something out of place...Well let's just say you get where I am going with this! Just do it the right way, I wish I had a picture of a blue VIN...I'd post it, but I don't own a car that has swaped VIN's...It would be much eazier to get away with something like that if you already have black interior, ie: cloth to black leather...Just doing it really well! But Tan to black is very easy to spot, all you have to do is look at the driver door, and it tells you there what color your interior should be...

what if theres no label on the door? like you noe how you got your car repainted and all that? they sand it down and no more label?
like i know alot of people who got tan interior and went to shop and get it dye, does that mean the cop will harrass them too?
