ITR Wing Installation
I finally got the gaskets in the mail that I had been waiting on, DelreyAcura.com took about a week and a half to ship them out. I'm about to go get the 6mm bolts needed to secure the wing to the hatch, but I'm unsure about the drilling.
What's the best way to go about creating the holes?

if you look beneath your hatch, you'll see where the holes are suppose to be drilled. I took a power drill and drilled into the center of each designated area. now how to determine the drill bit size, i took some bits sitting around and inserted them into the nut i was going to use to secure the wing down and found the widest one i can use that would fit into the nut. just drill, place wing down(should come with the screw built into the wing, and bolt it down, didnt use any washers.....

also, the nut i used is whats called a butterfly nut (has wings that look like a butterfly), that way, when i want to roll wingless for a day or 2, it is really easy to re-bolt and unbolt.

You want to use "acorn" nuts. They are a domed nut that does not leave the threads exposed, like a lug nut.
Using the wingnut is not a good long term solution, as you cannot tighten them up as good and the wings may hit the rear fenders etc.
Drill from the underside of the car at the 4 stamped circles. Put duct tape on the top of the hatch/trunk lid where you are going to drill through at, so the paint does not chip off. Drill slow and easy.
After you drill, put some touch up paint on the exposed metal and then put on the spoiler. Very easy- I hav e put on 2 honda spoilers.
Also, +++ to Delray acura- I live close by and buy from them a bit.

Any chance you can find a picture of those specific "domed" nuts? DelreyAcura wasn't too bad. Once they shipped it out, it got here very quick for being sent from Florida, but it took awhile for them to process it.

Very helpful thanks just post them up and make sure you drill straight.

If you're asking me, I didn't purchase them separately. They came with the car.
However, according to the parts catalog, they're around $2.50 each at the dealer.

no one is responding cause this is an easy installation and everyone has told you what to do by now...the house pops off..you drill the holes and you bolt it on..
