D16z6 D16yb turbo question
This probably has been asked a bunch of times....
What is the difference of the 92-95 to 96-00 turbo kits for the d16 motors.
I am looking to buyin the greddy kit for my 98 coupe with a d16y8 and was wondering if the d16z6 turbo would work on it?
thanx

Not the intercooler, the intercooler piping may be a little different. Not a big deal though you could probably just make a few adjustments.

kits for greddy I assume?
if so, then the 93-95 kits have a -15 housing and the 96+ has a -19 housing that is slightly bigger and so is the compressor wheel. the 92-95 kits support up to about 240-260 wheel power and the 96-2k does like 285-310 wheel power.
the newkit has a map designed for the 96+ civics and so is the connection harness where they 92-95 ktis some don;t have an e-mange and the ones that do the map is wrong. everything from the timing to the sensors are different.
if your going to get a greddy kit, get the one that coresponds to your year car otherwise you will have to have a shop tune the emanage to your motor.
