What's the difference between ITR ABS and '94 Integra LS ABS?
I've been reading about ABS on track cars, and it seems like the ITR ABS is acceptable, while the ABS from other Integras is not. What's the difference?
Asking because I have the ABS off of a '94 Integra LS and was deciding if I should try it on a track car.
Please, no pros/cons of ABS for a track car, I found and read all those threads when I did the search.

On my 95 integra i still have the ABS hooked up. It is only a three channel system (both rear tires are one channel). So far I have have had not real problems with it. I can still threshold brake, and if I go a little over I can here the ABS activate. I also have never flat spotted a tire.
down side i can think of, last time a spun I was going sideways for a long time. I think the ABS was trying to unlock the brakes so I could still steer (making the slide longer than is might have been). but who knows, might have slid that far with locked up tires too..
BTW - I am very aggressive on the brakes and usually out brake my competition

ITR/S2k ABS is a pretty awesome system, which, I believe, will only send the signal to release the brakes at the only tire/s that are trying to lock up..
I know my old prelude system, when 1 tire would try to lockup (like drag a rear) it would trigger the whole system ( the other 3 tires) into ABS mode.. Which sucked!

That makes sense, I think the '94 system is a 3-channel system, controlling the front wheels individually and the back wheels together.
edit - just realized where I read that, two posts up, thanks for the info BrianZ

All Integras switched to the ITR system in '98, just FYI. I'm don't know about the functional differences, but the new/ITR system is also about 16lbs lighter from what I've read.
yeah, the 94-98 ABS pump assembly is HUEG and weighs a ton. the 98+ system is much more compact.
My 95 ABS pump assembly sprung a slow leak a few years back, so I pulled the fuse. I have another assy, but I'm to lazy to tackle the task of replacing it right now :/

anyone have a wiring diagram of the 98+ abs system.. I would love to look into putting that into my car (for testing)

Here's a diagram ofthe 96-00 Civic ABS system, it looks like it's wired the same as the '94 system that I have.

A guy I know just got me a copy of the schematic for the '94 LS ABS. It's definitely a three channel system, not like the four channel system in my 96-00 Civic Helms manual. I may still put it on the car. It looks like my motor will be delayed, so I've got plenty of time to mess with stuff while I'm waiting.
