Do you run from the COPS??
i have had a few incidents where i could have a recieved some massive tickets but dec. to run. Its not the dumbest thing i have ever done but close to it. how many of you have ran from the cops??
It crossed my mind the last time i got pulled, but in the end its never worth it.
My last two tickets have been from mobile radar, with me going 70 miles an hour and the cop heading the other direction at a good clip. It would take him forever to slow down, turn around, and catch me... but id rather handle the $131 and keep my license instead

haven't... I think it'd have to be an extreme case for me to because the consequences are often far worse if you get caught running then if you just pulled over when speeding... yes even if you're going 100+... isn't in my nature really... An extreme case would be if I'm going 120+ and somehow pass a cop. I think I'd twist the wrist and get off at the next exit and make a **** load of left turns....

so your saying you would take a ticket, although you know 99% you will get away

that's why I got off with no ticket for going 20 over which you know in VA is reckless driving. helped that someone else on a bike went by so fast that he didn't bother to pull out. me: 1 you: 0 care to try again? sometimes being completely honest and cooperative helps. In addition to not riding like a complete jack *** in town and on highways
when i recev. my reckless by a state boy, i didnt do ****..it was the people i was riding with..but because i was the only one that didnt run from the cops that time he still pulled me and gave me a ticket..he said that if i gave the names he would let me go, but im not a snitch..
I never have. My last ticket was for crossing the double yellow. I thought about not pulling over as he was flagging me down (he was in front of me already). But they got radios mang.
heh doesn't help that superhawks are pretty distinguishable. if I had an r6 or gixxer like everyone else it'd be harder to tell who was the guy that ran

You are correct sir. I have more tickets than most of you combined, and two for speed in excess of 101mph (the top basic speed ticket).
More times than not(many many times) I have gotten out of tickets for doing nothing more than pulling to the side of the road even before the officer had gotten a chance to catch up to me.
Let me convey a story:
One time I was in a local mountain setting with a good friend of mine, many moons ago, we came around a corner fully laid out, doing well over 40 mph above the posted speed limits... as soon as we came around one corner there was a chp traveling in the opposite direction, this caught us both by surprise mid-corner, my friend looked back at me and proceeded to put his head down and pick it up a notch. I knew the area very well so a I pulled off a turnout that was hidden from all but one minuscule direction... I turned the bike off, took off my helmet and started to get my license and reg out. A few seconds later the chp came crawling at 10mph up the road we had been on until he could clearly see some rider sitting in the hidden spot... he did a little donut and pull right up on me as a took out my information. long and short of it, he gave me a little speech, then told me to ride safely. This has happened many times in my car and on my bikes, albeit not every time.

honestly, the fact that you even assume other sport bikers have ran shows how you're only adding to perception that sport bikers are *** holes.
The one time i've been pulled over i was cresting a hill that leads to a 3 mile straight stretch, i could have just opened up the throttle and ran, been gone down back country roads in a second. But i pulled over instantly, and got a warning.

maybe its just because of the careless riders in my area who feel its cool to do wheelies threw intersections in town...im not for running from the cops, but i just feel targetd in my area..

Please. I bet the number of cars that run is higher (proportionately as well as absolutely) than the number of bikes that run.

Absolute, yes. Proportionally, I'll bet you $20. Prove me wrong and the money's yours.
