Who did some wire tucking and kept AC?
Just looking for some info and pictures because I just relocated my battery to the back using an OdyseeyPC680 and now that my engine bay has seen its first look of being less cluttered I'd like to do more. I have a 1990 CRX HF with a D15 and I'm keeping everything stock so what are my options fellas? I had a hard time finding write ups where people kept they're AC and now that its 100+ degrees I'm not giving up my AC.
i think he is looking for info on where to run the a/c wiring because he wants to wire tuck but keep the a/c, sorry i cant help ya tho, when i did a wire tuck i got rid of all the a/c stuff

I think he wants to see pictures of efs that retained ac, while doing a wire tuck (hiding all the wires in teh engine bay for cleanlyness)

This guy fully tucked... and no probs keeping a/c.

(yeah i stole that from some other guys thread)
But... not that many wires with a/c, no problem in making them longer.
Are you concerned about the refrigerant lines? Shine em up and polish em.
I don't see the problem.

Not to offend anybody, but how is my question not clear? All I want are some pictures and maybe a little insight. So to be more clear........I WOULD LIKE PICTURES AND INFO ON WIRE TUCKING WHILE RETAINING AC.

It makes no sense why would you do a tuck, and go to all that trouble, and still have all the ugly AC crap around? It will never look clean with all that extra crap. I'm doing a tuck right now, and when done, I will have no wires, no brakelines, no anything in there. Just a motor, a tranny, brake booster, and MC, and a rad. If you want to have AC don't bother your work will not be appreeciated fully, if you still have all the other crap in there.

Bart, the A/C lines are all you'll see from keeping a/c with a wire tuck....And they aren't that bad looking.

I dunno I don't like brake lines let alone ac lines. Theres also that little tank thingy, and the compressor, and condensor. Seems like allot of crap to me. First thing I ever do to an 88-91 Honda when I get it, is rip the AC out if it has it.

What do the two have to do with eachother? "Wire Tuck" means you hid the wiring in your engine bay....it doesn't necessarily mean a bare engine bay!

The only wiring that is specific to the AC (and are not already within sections of the wiring loom that would be moved) are the wires that go from the relays mounted near the passenger side headlight and go to the drivers side fan and the compressor. Plus the wires that go to the line pressure switch.
Moving them out of sight is easy once re-locating the other wires.
That's why I don't seen the reason for asking for a photo!!! Plus the fact that I consider the term "wire tuck" to include re-locating items and not just wires (like brake lines and such).
If you are looking for photos that show re-locating the AC lines to clean up the engine bay, that's something else.
If you are after a bit of "bling", you could make up custom hoses using Aeroquip Stainless Steel Braided AC lines. (grab your wallet before adding up the cost!!)
You could also re-route the AC lines between the inner and outer fender, and avoid them running over the transmission.
This link may help give ideas, but it's not a bunch of photos showing a "wire tuck".
