Default First Bike Speeding Ticket

I got my first M-speeding ticket today

I got clocked rolling down a 35MPH street at 59 but the ticket got written for 51. It's my second speeding ticket ever but it was totally avoidable had I paid more attention. the cop was sitting where he normally sits and I just missed him.

What are your stories?

20 over which is automatic reckless and 6 points off your license . Plus I didn't know it but I didn't have my inspection done (new state to me and rules were different)... Motorcycle cop nabbed me. Let me go with just a no inspection sticker ticket which got dropped in court (which he told me it would)

I got my first M-ticket in April (just a few months ago). 57 in a 45 on ACH.

On a side note, a few weeks later, Stout (the cop who pulled me over) clips a Jeep.

All you really do is ride to starbucks how the hell would you get a speeding ticket...how do you NOT speed on a bike.

I dont think there is about .4 seconds during my acceleration that i am not speeding which makes 99.99% of my riding speeding. Ive never gotten a ticket before on my bike and I can count the number of times Ive seen those flashing lights behind me....they dissappear real fast.

lets see....
first ticket 90 in a 55 (after he reduced it)

2nd stop = wreckless driving, running a red light, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, and unsafe start

3rd stop - Wreckless driving (wheelie)

bikes = ruining your drivin record.. hate to say it... if ur under 21 they ruin ur record if you PLAY hard on them..... i've been good lately... i strongly believe stock pipe and non BRIGHT colors go a long way in avoiding tickets... fwiw

around town I go the speed limit. it's once I live the city limits and off the more traveled roads that I start to pick up speed. in town is where all my scares have been. later that week after I got pulled I was riding with some friends coming back into town and was going about 40 over passing them. Well I saw a cop at the top of the hill and locked the rear slowing down. The other guys were over too but he didn't give us a second look thank goodness

Only one ticket. 80 on the freeway. 101N headed towards Malibu canyons the second month of owning the bike. No tickets since. I also now have the infamous CHP license plate frame which I think has convinced at least 5 leos who have tailed me in the past year to leave me alone.

actually I know a guy who's big into sportbikes (has a race zx-6rr and a zx-10r, and yes he speeds when on them. heh) and is also a cop. he says on longer slow days he'll pull over sportbikes because they're quite possibly the easiest people to write a ticket for because in his experience they're either squeeky clean or all types of messed up. i.e. no insurance, no M-license, not inspected, etc etc... said if their paper work is in order they end up bs'ing about bikes for a couple and lets them go

hey I was followed the other day after riding ellet rd. cop was in the far lane of oncoming traffic on main street, got over and pulled a u-turn and caught up to me and pulled in right behind me until we got past the Kroger where he decided to turn off. Scared the **** out of me cause on the last section I passed on a dbl yellow and for some odd reason was wondering if anyone ever calls the cops about that....

The cop that pulled me over said he rides too and that he "understands" but he's got the city breathing down his neck etc. I guess passing the pre-school doing almost double the speed limit was asking for it.

You got a 51 mph ticket...on your 51. Wonder if the cop did that on purpose.

a few years back four of us got yanked for doing ~135 on 101N through King City, CA (i later learned that's where they train chp officers). luckily the cop was a super understanding fellow rider and was cool; wrote us for 80/65.

what is this frame that you speak of? 11-99?
