Default damn grinding

i was driving yesterday and for the first time on the new tranny, i grinded going into 2nd. i guess i dont pay attention when i shift and drive anymore that i pressed in clutch to shift but i let go too much and i grinded 2nd gear for a little bit until i pressed it full and put it in. how bad is this?

anybody else got this problem of being so comfortable when driving that you dont pay attention anymore and sometimes no fully pressing the clutch and grinding a gear.

dont worry about it. i do it sometimes. its not good, but you wont kill the tranny unless you do it all the time.

I did 1st - 2nd grind like 20 minutes ago... and was like WTF... but my syncro's are a bit worn..., I doubt it's your driving

Gm Syncromesh "suppoesdly" mask this problem

But I don't care, once this engine and tranny dies.. New engine for me

im pretty sure its my driving that caused it. im used to driving a soft clutch before my swap so its a little stiffer now but still easy.

i guess that extra pressure pushed my foot far back enough to not let the shift engage properly and GRIND. as soon as i heard it, i paid attention to my driving again and pressed the clutch fully and shifted. this is on my 4.7 itr tranny too

im just used to driving that i dont pay attention to my footwork anymore and i paid for it yesterday
