Default GSR's Compression

Hey guys I drive a 97 civic coupe with a 98 jdm gsr. I dynoed it at 153.2whp with just intake, header, and exhaust. Some say its good some say its horrible. Yesterday me and my friend did a compression check. It was consistent 140 across. After doing the compression check I searched on honda-tech what the compression of a gsr should be and I was seeing high 190's and 200's.

This was my first time doing a compression check, but I did read that I had to keep my foot on the gas WOT which I didnt do. When I do another compression check will this make the compression go up alot like into the 190's and 200's or is it going to make a small difference.

well here in my manual.. it says compression ratio on a b18c1 should be 270 psi, thats standard, min is around 135 psi.. and varation between cylinders no more that 28 psi... but when you do this let the car warm up to operating temp... block the throttle plate to wot.. and do it that way... the way its looking now.. your near min. compression which isnt very good... try it again...

also.. if i doesnt increase that much do a wet compression test... putting a little bit of oil in the cylinder your going to do and doing the compression check that way... if the pressure in the cylinders jump up you got bad piston rings... if they dont.. could possibly be bad valve seals, or possibly a blown head gasket or cracked head... just something to try
