first the stator and regulator/rectifier make up your charging system. With the rectifier fried like that you ONLY need a new R/R not a new stator like you mentioned... So I hope for your sake you didn't buy one... Also on ebay typically they come with those connectors but I just crimped mine together since I used a non oem R/R on my superhawk.

this is classic for many manufacturers... the aprilia suffers from this from time to time... we get around it by bridging the connector... or using lower Resistance wires and rewiring that portion of the harness and USE dielectric grease... this can be promoted by water getting into that connector. this rec/stator plug has been know to cause fires if the right situation arises, eg gas, but its good you found it in time. everyone should regularly check this plug for discoloration.

Again, this is a Resistance problem and is NOT related to one manufacturer.

how exactly od i go about hardwiring it ? just use connectors onto the pins? if so how do you keep them from gapping when wet ?

just eliminate the connector all together or run a bypass in addition to the connector to reduce resistance
