Uh oh... Douchebag???

Fawk.... First of all, dumass... Anyone who buys your car for over $5,000 is an idiot who doesn't know how to look around... I don't care if anyone has purchased an Si hatch that is even similar to yours, for that amount... Does that mean that's what you should pay for a car like that? Nooooo tool. Why the hell would I pay that much money for a basically stock hatch? Ok, you have your springs, your fart can, a header... So what? There was a hatch for sale from the FF Squad awhile ago, who had what you had x20... And how much did it cost? Around $6,000. O yeah, those nice little Ebay listings that you were so nice to post for me? What can I say but I feel sorry for the dumasses who paid that much for them.

Oh, and here's something for you:
I looked your car up in Kelley Blue Book, and your looking at $4,165. That's with an Excellent rating.

That's the most I would pay for your car. Period.

And to say I don't have a clue - A buddy of mine bought an Si hatch just like yours, but with fewer miles, and more bolt-ons... For $3,200.

You don't have a clue, so shut the **** up.

whats your problem dx. you didnt have to flame the guy to death. he wants to sell something for a certain price and if you dont want to buy it or cant be helpful you shouldnt post. do you somehow get gratification by making someone get hurt?

anyway...nice car

I agree with you on the price issue somewhat. There's a local guy selling a 92 Si, same color for $6k...Blue Book is like $4.5 or something. I inquired about this and here was his reply...

Him: "I could care less about Blue Book, It's the going rate for an Si..."

Me: "Good luck clown...Anyone who knows anything about Honda's wont pay a dime over $4k for a basically stock car..."

Anyhow, I'm really tired of people asking so much for 10yr old cars...But you know what, you didn't ask for my opinion...Honestly, good luck selling your car, I hope you get what you want for it.

how come everytime somebody posts a car for sale on this board lately every riceboy on the net suddenly becomes an expert market analyst? It doesn't do anybody any good for you to voice your opinions on other peoples prices....the sellers usually ignore you and the rest of us just get annoyed at the wasted bandwidth. if the dudes price is higher than the market will bare it won't sell and he'll come down. if not he sell it at the asking price...what the hell do you care?? your not buying it either way......

by the way...sweet car man.....a very rare one indeed.

Aren't you the one that's selling your hatch for $16k? Irony!

I don't understand why the car is worth so much more if it's a certain color. Buy a 3k hatch and spend 1k on a paint job. Viola! A hatch for less with a brand new damn good paint job.

Hey:

Try and buy an Si in Illinois for $4200. It won't happen. If you can find me three like this guy's I will buy them all. Maybe in Cali its different, but I doubt it.

I just bought one. The cheapest and only I could find for four months was $5400.00 Very clean but white, bone stock, 97,000 miles with gold Honda emblems and all .

If I hadn't *just* bought this car, I would probably fly out there and get it from you.

Good Luck

Steve

And besides that, nobody (and I mean nobody) can paint any car as well as the factory can. Simple as that.

hahahahahaha. You think factory paint jobs are good?! That's is absolutely hilarious! That, on top of the price of your rare car, made my whole day.

Hey ****... All I said at first was that I thought he was ****** nuts... That was it. So back off my nuts...

Then he proceeded to call me a douchebag, and proclaimed I didn't know chit.

So you see, I then responded. Simple as that. And for the guy in Illinois who can't find an Si hatch for less than $5,000 - where the hell are you looking? I can assure you, with time and patience, you can get a good deal on anything... Right now, I can get a 91 CRX Si with a new B16 in it for $3,500. Sure, it's not the same thing, but you get the point... All you **** get off my nuts, and take my advice... Don't settle to pay more for a basically stock car.... O yeah, one more thing, to the guy who called me a riceboy, and thinks I don't know the value of cars - It doesn't take a scientist to research ****, I'm just tired of dumass **** who jump to buy things without proper research and looking around....

And I thought I was helping you people...

Ashland Si, nice car, no doubt, but don't try to hate on me for thinking $5,300 is too much for a basically stock Si with 91,000 miles on it. Good luck with the sale.

ahh...no I wouldn't sell it that cheap, i'm asking $17.9k actually. and the tread that followed my posting it is what prompted my post here...so there is no irony at all.

*******************
i·ro·ny Pronunciation Key (r-n, r-)
n. pl. i·ro·nies

1. The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning.
2. An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning.
3. A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect.
4. Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs: “Hyde noted the irony of Ireland's copying the nation she most hated” (Richard Kain).
5. An occurrence, result, or circumstance notable for such incongruity.

***************

all I'm saying is that all you people who offer your personal assessment of the used car maket are not doing anybody anygood. Nobody is reading your post and thinking "damn, I was going to buy that car at the asking price, but not now that JdMriCeBoy says its too much....thanks for saving me money man!!" People ask what they think is the right price...its their car, let them figure out its value. ****, you never even seen the thing and probably live in a different state where prices are completely different.

Stock 5g Si hatches w/ under 100k miles on them are HARD to find in good shape. Blue ones are even harder, as are white. I've seen them selling over $3k at wholesale salvage auctions stripped out and with salvage titles...or hit pretty hard. if they weren't so hard to find or so much more money all you guys wouldn't be driving DX's trust me...

rizzzzite izzzzon DW!

why people flame sellers so hard I'll never know. we, as thread creators, should have an optional lock function so we can lock a thread as soon as we post it, just to prevent heckling like what is in this one.
