how much timing is thrown off from stock when a spoon 2 layer head gasket is installed ?
I got a 99 Gsr and I plan on putting a spoon 2 layer head gasket on to gain some compression. I hear by putting on a thinner head gasket it throws off the timing. If any one has done this upgrade, what degreeing of the cams did you set yours with?

This is true ^ Do you had any work done to your cars head...ie. pistons with higher compression or valve adjustment? If so then you might run into problems, but if it's stock I wouldn't worry about it.
