The injectors on some cars are really loud. That is probably why you hear them on you car and not most of the newer cars. I'm guessing you have a B16 or an A6?
When you are driving down the street do you hear the injectors clicking when you are driving down a curbed road? Curbs reflect the injector noise.

Are you sure that the clicking is your injectors or is it your valves out of adjustment?

The injectors ar suppoesed to click. I think you are hearing your valves though. The valve lash is probably too loose thus a load clicking/tapping noise.

It could be either. When you are driving in the city you can really hear the injectors and then you go by a driveway and the noise changes. Yeah that gets annoying

well just put your ear on the valve cover..you'll be able to tell its coming from there or the injectors...

The "lost motion assemblies" are common
cause of unexplained ticking noises...

I love it when I was running ford redtops, everyone said my 14.8 was slow because my valves were ticking.

Open purple bottle, make a pass, 13.0-13.1, I only told them I adjusted the VALVE, thanks
