What's that part that looks like a helical cut gear at the end of a stick?
I was thinking it might have something to do with the final drive.

Second Question: To have this LSD installed (from ITR) do I keep the outer ring gear, or do I use my current one? (from LS)

vss shaft + gear

 

thats looks like a vss gear that they took off the vss sensor..not sure...
