Default illuminas and H&R race springs problem

i have a 96 integra with tokico illuminas and h&r race spring and i had that setup for about two years. shocks are blown due to harsh roads. my ride was always harsh from the i first start wit this setup. every bump the car would just bang bad. the strut mounts we're replace when i did this setup. now the car is not as stiff as it use to be when take corners. i know the shocks are blown. bascailly im doing a new setup and i was wondering what new setup should i use. dont want coilovers still want the struts and spring setup but want the car to ride way more smoother than before. not like a benz or lexus but just a little smooth. still want the car to be low. h&r did not lie on the drop my car is slammed and i love it just to harsh. hits so hard that the upper control arm is a little bent at the end where the balljoint sits.and if u look at the front of the the car where the condenser sits u can see a little arch on the chasey. any body else wit this setup with the same problems. help cause going shopping soon. so for my boy told me to skunk2 springs wit kyb adj. wat do u think.

Most people say Tien Coilovers are good if you want a smoother ride. Also, what settings are you running your Illuminas on?

If the illuminas are on 3, it should feel fine, but if your shocks are still blown, order a new set.

Any chance the coilovers are adjustable? If so, try putting your car up a bit if it's slammed.

My car's pretty low riding on Illu's with Omni coilovers, '00 ls dc2, and I have them on 5 all the time. Stiff ride, but I love the handling.

so basically go wit a coilover system for a nicer ride but i heard that the ride is bouncy. im going wit the tein ss. the coilover wit strut incuded piece. i think its in the 1000$ range. oh and i have ingal camber kit in front. not to sound stuburn i refuse to raise the car. are there alot of shitty roads in cali cause here ikn connecticut the roads suck. well i live in the worst part.anyway its that a good setup.

i have skunk2 springs with kyb agx.... all i have to say is, NO to the springs. they're bad. really bouncy, the kyb's are really nice. i've hit some pretty mean bumps and they're still going strong. kyb agx's skunk2 springs also, word of advice... get a camber kit if you don't already have one.

well next week im going to try to buy the tein one piece coilover system. first time wit coilovers so i hope they treat me right. its hard to blow a 1000$ away but if its for my car it dosent matter i just want to ride comfortable. thanks guys for the comments ill let u no how it goes wit the system.
