Default so i'm replacing my busted H23 with another H23

dont have the money right now to do a swap, and no time to save the rest i'd need for it. so i'm just throwin in another H23.

1. anybody know anywhere other than hmotorsonline that i can look at? reputable and good service? (no problems with hmotors, i just want the best price)

2. you guys have any tips or info, anything i should look out for or what i should look at and/or do while doin the swap?

as long as its ok, trans is staying, as well as all the accessory crap (alt., a/c, p/s bla bla). you guys suggest a clutch change? i felt it starting to slip in the last month or so. thanks for any and all info.

that sucks. I dont know about up there, but down hre most junkyyards offer free locating service, its not much but they will put your request out on a hotline...

also try http://www.car-part.com its a junkyard search engine, and you may have to try a few differnet years between 92 and 96 but you may have some luck with that. Not to put down hmotors, but having the engine local to examine is nice.

if you get a motor from a us junkyard, you're gonna pay $2000+ for it, and it's gonna have 100k+ miles on it. jdm = $975 @ hmotors, and 30-60k. at least that's what i found during my search for an engine.

You might be able to find a JDM DOHC F22B for a good price. It is basically the same as the US H23.

i looked online too, and all the junkyards charged outrageous prices for an h23. i should say i didn't look too hard though, because i really wanted an h22, and had to convince the pops why i needed to borrow that much money.

there is a yard in Fond du Lac, Wi that has one h23 listed at $965 with 159k miles.
In Blue Island, Il I see one with unlisted milage for $1300, but it is coming from LKQ which usually means a 3 or 6 month warranty is included as well.
