Default Radiator as oil cooler

My CRX that i inquired a couple weeks ago is an automatic and of course i am planning to purchase a salvaged RSX Type-S to swap over the engine and misc parts. Until then i will give my left foot a break and use it as a daily driver.

The original 18 year old radiator kicked the dust so i will be purchasing an OE replacement but i was just curious has anyone tried using the built in transmission cooler as an oil cooler. I was just curious and may try this after the swap.

you certainly arent the first person who has thought of this. it just isnt suitable. the size of the radiator portion available and the size of the ports make it unviable as an engine cooler.

Also Im pretty sure the automatic transmission doesnt see 100psi of oil pressure like it might if it was hooked up to the engine
