Default JDM ITR cluster in 94 RS wont operate

seems like everything works except the gas guage.
ive heard that you have to swap the green paper on the back of the cluster from the RS to the ITR cluster to get it to work.
can someone confirm this ?

thanks.

I heard about that too, or maybe the gas gauge is bad?

Instead of swapping out the green film, swap the individual gauges itself into your 94 cluster housing, since you'll be removing the screws from the back anyways. Remember, the short, bronze screws are for the temp/gas gauges, and the longer silver screws are for the tach/speedo gauges.

Then, swap the two right light icon clusters (ie door ajar, fuel light, srs, trunk ajar) from your 94 cluster bezel onto the ITR cluster bezel.

also. make sure ALL the screws are in. They serve more of a purpose than to just hold things in place. also. what year itr cluster? i had mine in my 96 rs and it worked fine.
