Default Sunday Ride in Extreme Weather (Lightning, Thunder, Rain, 100 degree temps)

Well a friend of mine and my neighbor decided to go for a pretty good ride this past weekend even though it was 100 degrees most places. The route we took was the 23 (Moorpark) to 126 (Fillmore) to 150 (Santa Paula) to 33 (Ojai) to the 166 (frazier park) to 138 (Valencia) to Lake Hughes/Lake Elizabeth and back to Moorpark. We encountered some rain, lightining, humidity, heat, thunder, flooded roads, almost everything. On to the pics.

Here's me waiting for the guys to catch up. I would be doing this a lot that day.

Um....yeah Pee Break

Me and my bitch

Here's a ledge we stopped at to enjoy some lightning and thunder storms. To the right would be frazier park/mt. pinos and to the left would be santa maria/san luis obispo.

Rain coming down, it was like 100 degrees here on this ledge, so damn hot but when we hit the storm pocket it was a nice cool breeze.

Another shot of my girl....she's so pretty

My bro Rich.....Easy Rider Style

Once we got down from the mountain we had to gas up around gorman.

A fire was starting from the lightning strikes

Ahhhh...Refreshment

Probably regret posting this one but I was showing my bike some love, giving it the one leg up on the counter pelvis hump porno style

Anyway, was a good time however was extremely exhausted just from being out in the heat all day.

Sheesh probably about 350 miles or so. I passed the f out when I got home, was so dehydrated. I can't wait to go again, heat or not its better than sitting on the couch. I have directv plus so I was able to tape the races, all 5 of em.

I know it's weird, but I love riding on 90-105 degree days. Anything less than that and I start getting cold from the breeze.

BTW looks like a wonderfully scenic ride! I really want to take my bike on a long drive, but reliability on the classic concerns me.

Looks like you three had a good time. Diverse bunch of bikes, too.

Drink lots of water next time. At least 8oz for quick stops, a full bottle for long ones. Dehydration is our enemy.

Thanks, yeah it was a blast, maybe I'll get a camel back, save it for days like this. I did drink a lot of water but I guess it wasn't enough. Red Bull, although good and refreshing actually can dehydrate you. I love it though.......
