Default Help with value of my low mileage Integra GS-R......please. :)

Okay, so after much ribbing from family and friends about the very limited use of one of my Integras (so much so that some family and friends forgot I still have the car), I have started to explore the idea of selling it. The dilemma is trying to figure what it is worth since it is pretty tough to find one in this condition with such low mileage. Any help is appreciated.

1996 Acura Integra GS-R
Black/Black
44,820 miles
1-owner
AEM Cold Air Intake
Carbon Fiber dash kit
Comptech Sport front chin spoiler (Type-R style)
DC Sports stainless steel cat back exhaust
DC Sports stainless steel headers
H&R Sport springs
Koni adjustable shocks
MOMO Shadow shift ****
Neuspeed front strut tower bar (polished)
Neuspeed rear lower sway bar
Neuspeed rear lower tie bar
OEM car cover (accessory)
OEM engine block heater (accessory)
OEM floor mats (2 sets)
OEM fog lights (accessory)
OEM in-dash CD Player (accessory....removed currently)
OEM Integra nose mask (accessory...for front without lip)
OEM Integra Type-R nose mask (accessory....for front with lip)
OEM trunk mat (accessory)
Pioneer Premier CD head unit
Polk 6035 front component set (door speakers and tweeters)
Polk rear 6x9 speakers
PPI A-204 amp
PPI A-404 amp
PPI electronic crossover
Thermo-Tec heat wrap on headers
Tinted Windows (20%)
Valentine One built-in radar / laser detector
Valentine One concealed display kit and remote sound module
Volk-TE37 wheels (17 inch, bronze)
Yokohama A-520 tires

All OEM parts are with the car including the OEM wheels and tires with only about 10,000 miles on them and tons of tread. I have owned this car since it was new and had 199 miles on the odometer. The service file for the car is multiple folders thick and has oil change intervals of about 1,000-2,000 miles for most services. I just had the 45,000 mile service done to get all of the fluids fresh. Timing belt, water pump, and accessory belts are all done as well. The car needs nothing. I am sure I have forgotten something the car has, but again, I rarely drive it. In the past 4 years it has seen approximately 950 miles. I really do not want to sell the car, but I am beginning to feel bad for not driving it. The car still has protective plastic on the floor mats and carpeting if that gives you an idea of how clean and babied this car is. Thank you in advance for your help.

Damn, very low miles, I think the car is worth 6k - k, depending on if it has any damage to the body, but are you sure you really wanna sell the car? It is very rare to get a 96 gsr with 45k miles and 1 owner, think about it

I am not sure I want to sell.....and surely not for $6,000. How did you come up with that number??

I had checked AutoTrader, and cars with 80,000 miles and more were asking over $9,000 and nowhere near as clean. Thank you for your input though. I have had a couple of people offer me $12,000 for the car once they saw it. I just have no idea of the cars value other than what I have found on AutoTrader and Ebay.

I did a kelly blue book on it and it came to 6500 in excellent condition at private party, but you have mods on it and it will make it more expensive and also KBB is not that accurate, but if you did get 12k, and you really wnana sell it, go ahead and sell it for 12k

Ya, also on autotrader, craigslist, and cars.com, they sell the cars pricey sometimes, but you should do the same thats how people make there money

I have thought about removing the mods and selling the car stock, then selling the mods, but I really do not want to deal with all of the crap of trying to sell parts and having tons of people lowballing and asking for pics of parts they will never buy. It is just too much of a pain to part out a car.

Keep the opinions coming....I really to appreciate everyones input. Thanks!

Def keep the mods on it, they're not just keep everyday things,
I would say 10k+ for the with the shape it's in, and what is actually done.

Judging by your signature, you are not hurting for money. If you REALLY want to get rid of it post it for 10K and let the highest bidder get it.

The car is obviously not worth 12K even considering the condition (modifications deduct from the overall value of the car no matter what you put on it...of course the "street" value goes up in most cases). I don't know if others will agree, but I'd rather have a stock GSR with no mods that's as clean as your car, then one with mods.

By the way, do you have any pics of the car?

jose1995GSR, id agree with you, many people want stock cars so they can abuse the car, why some people dont like modded cars is because they dont know what condition it has been in or anything, if it has been raced, abused, or anything like that. they wont kno the condtion of the motor, i got my 94 integra with 80k bone stock for 3k, it was pretty good for the price

You are correct in that I am in no hurry to sell it. I have pictures of the car but have to get updated ones. Since the car is stored 98% of the year most of the pics are older. I did snap some at a car show recently though. How do you post pics on here??

What would you think the difference in asking price would be stock -vs- modified??

To give you an idea of how babied this car is I actually wash the entire enderside of the car yearly even if there is no need to, and I put snow tires on my NSX so that I did not have to drive the GS-R in the snow.

I will post pictures later tonight or tomorrow possibly. I have to get the pictures and find the time to upload them first.

I can assure you of one thing, for $6,000 I would just keep the car locked away rather than sell it. Too many other higher mileage beat down examples for sale for more money make it impossible to justify giving a 44,000 mile car away. Once you see the pictures I think it may be better for people to understand. Thank you though.

I wouldn't let a gem like this go. Or, if you do decide to sell it, part everything out. You'll get a lot more money from all the parts, and selling a stock DC2.

I really do not want to sell it, but I hardly use the car and am starting to feel bad about it. I love the car, and treat it better than any of my other cars, so if I do sell it I will have to find a good home for it as well.

Yeah...I think so too. Real world pricing is much higher than $6,000. Thank you.

IF I end up selling it, I will sell it to whoever has the money, wherever they are from!! LOL!!

Was your car stock? The one large variable is that it is not hard to find an 80,000 mile Integra....it is VERY difficult to find one with almost half of those miles (44,820) in excellent shape with a ton of service records showing lots of car care from day 1. My guess is that IF I sell it the buyer will probably realize that and be willing to pay a premium for it.

Few service records (pre 80k). Mostly stock but no ware and tare inside the car or outside and underneath...

If I were you I'd just keep it. SERIOUSLY! You'll kick yourself in the *** when you let it go. Just like I felt when I sold mine. I know you feel bad for not driving it, but why don't you just make it a point to drive it at least once a month. And as far as selling price goes. I'll tell you this... Back in 1999 when I bought my GSr I bought it from an ex-cop that meticulously maintained the car (It was a 1995), he even waxed the car everytime he washed it once a week. It had 48,000 miles and pretty much all the mods you have on yours with the exception of sway bars and the carbon fiber dash kit and he sold it to me for $13,000 which I thought was more then fair considering it's condition. It was like brand new! So it's not ridiculous to think that you want 12k for it.

no bank is gonna approve a 12k dollar loan for a 96 integra don't care of the mileage not being a dick and i'm not saying your car isn't worth it. just saying kinda hard to find a buyer with 12k cash just lying around if they do i doubt there in tehmarket for an integra
