Video - Whats goin on with my B16A teg? Knock sensor ECU limph mode?
Hey guys whats up,
Well I swaped in a B16A awhile back, and she ran ok Vtec wasnt engaging correctly but It was becuase I didnt correctly wire them.
Well I finally correctly wired the Vtec sol and oil pressure switch,
Well now that thats fixed, My car just doesnt want to go.
When I touch the gas she Bogs like crazy, I dont have knock sensor wired and
I think its putting the ECU into pimph mode, Let me know,

What ECU are you running? If you weren't having problems before I would say that there is something wrong with the ECU. But honestly, I have NO idea

that is not limp mode....limp mode acts a fuel cut somewhat...when my car went into it it was like it hit a brick wall and just went to about 35hp

i would double check the vtec wiring. i dont know about chipped obd0 ecu's but in unchiped obd1 vtec ecu's vtec will not engage w/o a working knock sensor. your car doesnt sound like its in limp mode..its missing pretty bad when you were revving it.
btw: hows your thermostat/radiator fan? your engine was getting pretty hot in the first vid

Well Thats not the case with this one. Not sure if its becuase its obd0,
Its chipped from auto to manual, not for performance.
Yeah the gauge is wrong,
I took it %100 apart and put it back together,
and the guage when the car is off or ice cold, its above cold.
However, I did just replaced the thermostat 2 hours ago.
It was needed, bad. the old themrostat wouldnt open. Top hose was hot while bottom hose stayed cold.
So this is just a reall bad miss? or two or three,
A few days ago I tried to start the car for the first time in one month,
It started right up, but had a very rough idle, two cyl was missing.
Well I check the plugs, and when I pulled the wire, the first two Spark tubes were full of water, I got it all out, But I guess I should change the plugs and wires again

I just had the timming fixed and it ran great,
this is happening after it sat for a month,
And I started the car, Only to find two spark plug tubes full of water,
So I'm finishing adding coolent (replaced my thermostat)
and I'll put on the new plugs and wires and see if thats helps,
But I guess I need to get a timming gun,
We'll see

I bought some new plugs and wires and she now pures like a kitten,
and revs smooth too.
