Default Seeking information on an H23 Swap into an accord.

I'm looking for something to put my H23 in. I wrecked my Prelude and have the engine and trans. My dad suggested an Accord. I know alot of H22 swaps have been done, but I can't find any information on an H23 swap. If I missed it let me know. Also what gen/year accord would you recommend? Thanks.

Thats a pretty good fuc kin deal. I did the H trans swap in a parking lot outside my Apt before i moved into my home and it wasnt fun. Spending 800 is nothing for something like this.....most shops charge TONS more. Bump for a good guy trying to help a brother out

i would recomend the 5th gen. 94-97. though if you wanted the body style after that it would be just as easy to do the swap. shouldnt be too hard, just a direct swap. just gotta expletive with the wiring a little bit.

yea bump for this guy, i say thats a pretty darn nice offer, take it man, i hear that 4th gens are the best for an H swap becuase the prelude is built from a 4th gen platform, but maybe thats just the earlier h22's, but id suggest a 4th gen, make for good sleepers

wagalude, I would love more than anything to have a running car friday, but I don't have any cash/money. I wrecked my Prelude, that's why I have an H23 and paying the tow fee brought me into the negative. I was just looking into options to do with trying to let me have a car and keep it cheap.

Plus I think me and my dad will be doing all the work. With the swap is there anything that I would need to fabricate or anything that couldn't be done with regular tools. My dad can handle wiring and such and engine work. Is there any information on this swap? And how expensive would this be, what parts would I need for sure, ect. Thanks for any help.

So fourth or fifth gen? Hmm...

Scroll down in the Accord FAQ and find "H22 swap into 5th gen" (or 4th gen). The swap will be virtually the same, minus the wiring for VTEC...

if you are going to use a 90-93 accord go to cb7tunner.com and check the swap faq
