Default Weird problem help (turbo/nitrous type R)

Ok I am having a weird problem with my ITR.
When it is very cold out and I start the car in the morning it misfires
(fuel pressure spikes to 40psi) until the car warms up.
(once warm fuel drops back to 32 psi)
This floods the motor but not enough to stall. Just enough to misfire.
When the car warms up it runs like a champ. It is not stock and is an absoloute
rocket.

Only getting 6 volts at the external coil. MSD Blaster 3 hot or cold.
Getting 12 at battery
Plugs read that it runs rich at idle normal during driving.
I get codes 71, 72, 73, 74 cylander misfire and the odd 67 which
i think is a bullshit code because my cat is just fine.
Checked the groundwire for msd its grounded well. Good connection.

I'm thinking it is either a wiring issue or my msd is facked.
here is my mod list so that you can get a feel for the car.

I have msd sci, ignition retard (with neutral o degree pill right now)
holley walbro pump 120lph
AEM fuel regulator
msd cap
msd blaster 3 coil
venom nitrous system
field vtec controller
custom k&n filter/intake
comptech 4-2-1 header
ractive plug wires
autometer shift light
autometer a/f guage
autometer nitrous guage
ngk plugs 2 steps colder platinum

Since I bought the car new i've had to replace the coolant temp sensor,
o2 sensor, and the entire distributor becuase the reluctor gear was
damaged like none i've ever seen somehow. dont ask i dont know why.
also I've been through 3 catalytic converters. 1 stock which worked fine,
1 carsound which died from being over rich, and now im getting codes
for this third cat which is also a carsound.

Additionally I've had the valves replaced with higher quality material
and grade. Valve lash, ignition timing +2 deg, and valve timing have
also been adjusted.

bumper is black from carbon from running rich exhaust on start.
once the car is warm its not over-rich any longer.

There's a few other mods but not worth mentioning here
because its obviously either fuel or spark problem somewhere.

See the car at http://www.targetplanet.com/venom

btw. Getting drag 3 turbo kit and the venom kit is going to spray on
intercooler. That's my next setup.
My opinion is that this venom kit is for the birds.
Dont do it. Too many variables that you have to work out.
I've got it but man it was too much work.
Turbo is the way to go.
Russ

??? i would like to know but i don't. is that normal fuel pressure for warm up? plugs read rich all the time at idle? is there something that adjusts ignition during warm up?

Its possible that the fuel pressure would spike during warm up but im not sure.
Regardless its too much fuel loading up in the cylanders that is causing the misfire now whether that is spark related or fuel pressure related is my question.
The fact that the coil doesnt have enough voltage coming into it makes me wonder
if i havent diagnosed the problem already. Im going to go over the wiring with
a meter to see where the voltage drops off. its a strong 12 at battery.
But a weak 6 even when warm when there should be 12 there.
Anybody with msd? Does this problem sound familiar?

Ditch the ignition and see if it runs right. So many people have trouble with aftermarket ignitions its almost not worth it.

I'm almost positive (no pun intended, bad mechanic humor) that it is a wiring issue although it could be either the msd box or coil. I'll post an update once i've figured it out.

Yeah, I'd yank the ignition out completey and atleast temporarily run off the stock ignition. I agree with the guy above, I rarely ever see an aftermarket ignition work flawlessly on a Honda/Acura...

well russ..
first take off the venom kit.
second, take off the fpr, msd and all other stuff. to as close as stock as possible..
third get it running 100%
forth order turbo cal reg and myself to install it!

ok I say this to help save you some headaches! by getting your car running properly when you install the drag III kit you will simplify troubleshooting (if any) during/after the install. Buy simplifying your set up lower the amount of potential problems ( there will be less to go wrong!)remember murphies laws.. what can go wrong WILL go wrong!.. so simplification is key!

you will need a few aditional parts for installation, I have talked to reg and offered my help

anyway I just installed my tein coilovers oh baby! wow! they are amazing! i'll take you for a ripe in my car soon

I fixed it.
After going over every wire with a meter I realized that the msd was running
the way it is supposed to and that the fuel pressure spikes during cold.
I backed off the fuel pressure on the regulator a few degrees to 32
(not sure why it was up in the first place) and car is running superb.
cold or hot.
duh.
I feel stupid.

So everything is working perfect turbo is on order and venom will spray on intercooler.

Running like a champ.
This is going to rule.
Just gotta change the plugs now and change oil.
