Default Tein Type Flex

Recently the Tein Type Flex suspension was installed on my car. Now, when I turn my wheel there is a popping noise on the front driver's side. I jacked it up and took my wheel off and it would not repeat the sound, it only pops when there is a load on the car.

Look at your spring and damper lock perches and make sure they're nice and tight.

95% sure it is the nut on the top of the strut. Find the big gold nut (on the top) and tighten it. You'll need to hold the damper from underneath to keep it from turning.

Actually I spoke with Tein regarding this matter a while back and told me that a "poping" noise might appear once you have thier suspension installed due to the tie rods being put into a more angled position. The noise you are hear is the tie rod hitting.

Another thing it could be is the top nut as other have said.
Keep in mind Tein explained to me that the poping noise is know with the ep3 and dc5.

Yes, one would think Tein would have redesigned their strut arms on the front, but they didn't. Even leaving them exactly like factory would have been good, but they didn't even do that.

Lower the car with a set of Teins and you can get 1.4degrees of neg. camber with zero toe. That's it, and it sucks.

But check that top nut first.

its a common thing that happens with the TEIN systems. It goes away after a couple hundred miles. It's just breaking in.
