Default why?????

I just took my 94 integra with a b16 to the track and raced against a 91 integra rs with must of the same mods and got hurt. My best was a 10.19 in the 1/8mile and he got a 10.09, how is this car beating me its a 1.8l non vtec. Is my car in need of some rings. It doesnt smoke and seems fast but idk i should be able to waste that car in my eyes.

have u tuned your car for max performance after your mods. That could be one reason. He may have is tuned. It can also be a driver thing. what are the reaction times?

it might be you have a 1.6 liter with no torque in your heavy-*** car.

wow .. ur really looking down on a 1.8l non vtec .. u act like a b16a is suppose to perform a lot better than a b18b stock for stock ... plus the b18b has a full .2 liters more than you ... b16a is a koo engine with plenty potential but imo, it s never meant to be put in a heavy chassis like integras

hes not looking down on the 1.8l non vtec... hes right, his car should (with similar mods) be a bit quicker than the RS. but, there are obviously different variables... he could suck at driving, and that b16 should stay in the civic (although, he probably got a good deal on a replacement engine).

no his car should not be quicker....think about what youre saying...the 99-00 si runs LS integra times...with SHORTER gearing and a LIGHTER CHASIS....whats that telling you??...too many simpletons ignoring the effects of torque on a car....OMG DUDE BUT ITS GOT 160 HP PLUS VTEC...but makes like 100 wtq

food for thought: give the ls integra and the civic si equal gearing...watch the civic fade away into nothingness...

its a b18a...claims a lil less hp (insignificant amount) than the b18b...but the DA is also lighter than the DC...so they end up with same quarter miles anyway

still a low/mid 15 second car if its stock or just with bolt ons....unless the driver is getting traction and launches good!

a b16 is alrady torqueless and is weak.. it shouldnt be in a DC.. its just too heavy for a light motor. that is why u lost to the RS.

but if the DA already has a b16 swap, go for it you will like the high rpm's, then you can put type-R IM and TB on it for some gains

yeah, it is already coming with that swap.

You know if there is a test/opinions on which manifold is better?

the type r manifold vs the skunk2 manifold

Since its coming with that swap, why not just get you an ls block and go ls/vtec? you should be able to find one for dirt cheap and youll be ripping.. p.s b18a and b18b blocks are the same so it shouldnt matter which one you use..
