USGP Mrs. Zidane connection (*spoiler warning blah*)
Posted from a shitty motel room in Salinas:
During the 06 world cup Zidane's mother is sick.
During the final match between France and Italy Matarazzi tells Zidane something that makes Zidane angry.
Zidane headbutts Matarazzi and is ejected from the championship game.
Italy wins.
Later Italian lip readers make out this comment as "A horrible death to you and your family."
Rossi is close freinds with Matarazzi.
Rossi wins the German GP.
Rossi wears Matarazzi's personal Jersey while on the Podium.
This upsets many Zidane sympathizers.
The next GP is in the USA.
Rossi's tire sponsor is Michelin.
Michelin is a huge powerful company.
A French company.
Rossi qualifies on the fourth row for the USGP.
With only a few laps left Rossi has charged through the pack challenging for 3rd position.
Rossi then has a mysterious problem with his rear Michelin.
This causes him to drop back and ultimately retire from the race due to related cooling problems.
Sooo... does this series of events strike anyone else as noteworthy?

quote from Rossi himself "The problem was a general one that we've suffered all weekend. We had difficulties with fine tuning and couldn't find solutions, although in the warm-up things seemed okay. During the race I lost part of the left hand rubber on the tyre, and in the end the ENGINE LOST A LOT OF POWER AND CUT OUT" He would've podiumed if not for the engine dieing. Thank you come again
Slick post editing there bub. When i say "you are wrong" I am responding to your original post where you said "the tire was perfectly fine." Which now is mysteriously changed.

Good story but how many tires does michelin actually give to the Yami team. Im sure they dont give them 2 tires. I may be wrong but I think they also use the race tires during the practice sessions.
Also, if you fold a dollar bill you can see the world trade center being hit

I'm done responding to you engine9... you have sucessfully derailed my thread, which I posted for fun. I'm too old to argue like this on the web, I've got to save it for my kids.
You win. I loose. Good night boys.

I believe it was the tire that gave Rossi a DNF. The tire wore off on the left side for some apparant reason, perhaps it was a bad compound? As a result of the tire failure, Rossi's pace slowed dramatically causing the engine to overheat which causes smoke and a DNF.

lol sheesh calm down. why does it matter what I did or did not say. His motor giving out was the issue. Now I didn't get to watch the interview buts basing off of what I rear and saw during the race the motor let go before I saw his pace slow at all. Smoke was pouring out from it and that wasn't from overheating at all. Now maybe when he was trying to get around for the last lap cooling finally killed it

Reigning world champion Valentino Rossi told reporters this afternoon that his rear Michelin tire failed and lost rubber, causing him to slow his pace which made his Yamaha overheat which in turn caused the engine to fail. "

Who's trying to deny the ninja edit? It's like my only special power that I know of.
While I do not disagree that Rossi had tire issues, he sure as hell was charging strong till the engine problems occurred.
